ABOUT
Kankakee Alano Club was founded in 1984 by a group of sober alcoholics who were part of the 12-step recovery program, "Alcoholics Anonymous". Today we host AA, NA, and other 12-step programs, meetings, & events.
The Kankakee Alano Club is operated by a panel consisting of the
"Board of Directors". We also have numerous "Trustees" which are entrusted to step up to the plate should the "Board of Directors" be unavailable. In addition to "Trustees" we also have "Committee Members" which have specific duties based on which committee they serve.

Board meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 5pm. All members are welcome.
What is the Purpose of Kankakee Alano Club?
According to the Bylaws:
SECTION 2
The purpose of this Club shall be to provide a meeting place for
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS, AL-ANON, ALATEEN, and other 12
STEP GROUPS as determined by the Board of Directors. It shall also serve
as a place for social affairs for alcoholics, their families, and their guests,
with prior approval.
SECTION 3
It shall also provide a place for twelfth-step work, provided this work
does not conflict with any other scheduled Club function. All Club activities
must be brought to the regular business meeting to be voted on for approval.
